Vocabulary questions are the quickest marks in the English section, but only if
you know the words and the traps. This course covers the complete **APTET English
vocabulary** syllabus in eight focused lessons: synonyms and antonyms, homophones
and homonyms, idioms, phrases and phrasal verbs, spellings (including British vs
American), word formation, compound words, unscrambling and anagrams, singular–plural,
one-word substitutes, collocations, ordinal numbers, and figures of speech.

Section C (Language II: English) of APTET 2026 Paper I(A) carries 30 marks: 24 for
content and 6 for teaching methodology. Grammar, reading and methodology are covered
in the next two English courses; this course builds the word knowledge that every
other part depends on.
