This course completes your preparation for the English section. It covers the **
APTET English methodology** syllabus together with the content units that the vocabulary
and grammar courses do not: conventions of writing, discourses, dictionary skills
and reading comprehension. Every lesson links the exam content to real primary classrooms
in Andhra Pradesh.

Section C (Language II: English) of APTET 2026 Paper I(A) carries 30 marks: 24 for
content and 6 for teaching methodology. Methodology questions are usually classroom
situations, and reading comprehension questions use unseen passages and poems, so
both reward understanding rather than memorising.

## What you will learn

 * Apply the rules of capitalisation, full stop, comma, question mark, exclamation
   mark, inverted commas and apostrophe
 * Recognise the format and features of letters, e-mails, diary entries, notices,
invitations, paragraphs, dialogues, biographical sketches and speeches
 * Use alphabetical order, guide words and dictionary entries, and answer prose
   and poetry comprehension questions
 * Explain the nature of English, principles of teaching it as a second language,
   its objectives and LSRW skills
 * Compare methods and approaches from Grammar-Translation to the communicative
and constructivist approaches, and plan remedial teaching
 * Choose teaching-learning materials, plan lessons, understand curriculum and textbooks,
and evaluate English skills under CCE
