This course completes the science half of Environmental Studies for Paper I(A).
It covers the **APTET EVS physics, chemistry and environment** units and the science
teaching methodology in ten lessons: materials, acids and changes, motion and force,
light, electricity and magnetism, heat and fuels, sound and natural hazards, transport,
communication and public services, our environment (air, water, climate and biodiversity,
with Andhra Pradesh examples), and how to teach and assess science.

Section E (Environmental Studies) of APTET 2026 Paper I(A) carries 30 marks: Science
content 12 + Science methodology 3, and Social Studies content 12 + Social Studies
methodology 3. The living world and life processes are covered in the previous course
of this bundle.

## What you will learn

 * Classify materials, explain metals, reactivity, separation methods, acids, bases
   and chemical changes
 * Solve simple problems on speed and pressure, and explain force, friction, light,
   mirrors and lenses
 * Describe electric circuits, safety devices, electromagnets, electroplating, magnets
   and heat transfer
 * Explain combustion, fuels, fire safety, sound, static electricity, lightning,
   earthquakes and tsunamis
 * Discuss transport, communication, helping agencies, climate, pollution, water
   and biodiversity in Andhra Pradesh
