This course completes your maths preparation for Paper I(A). It covers the **APTET
maths geometry, algebra, mensuration** and data handling syllabus, plus the full
maths methodology unit, in ten lessons with every calculation worked step by step:
lines and angles, triangles and polygons, quadrilaterals and 3D shapes, measurement
and symmetry, perimeter, area and volume, data handling and probability, algebra,
exponents and graphs, and how to teach and assess mathematics.

Section D (Mathematics) of APTET 2026 Paper I(A) carries 30 marks: 24 for content
and 6 for teaching methodology. Numbers and arithmetic are covered in the previous
course of this bundle.

## What you will learn

 * Use the properties of lines, angles, triangles, polygons and quadrilaterals to
   find unknown angles
 * Describe 3D shapes by faces, edges and vertices, apply Euler’s rule, and recognise
   views and nets
 * Convert units of length, weight, capacity, time and money, and identify line
   and rotational symmetry
 * Calculate perimeter, area, surface area and volume of common shapes and solids
 * Read and draw graphs, find mean, median and mode, and calculate simple probabilities
 * Work with algebraic expressions, identities, linear equations, exponents, factorisation
and linear graphs, and apply maths teaching methods and assessment

## Who this course is for

D.El.Ed and B.Ed students, in-service teachers and other candidates preparing for
APTET Paper I(A).

## How to use this course

Study one lesson at a time and work through every example with pen and paper. Attempt
the eight practice questions before checking the step-by-step explanations. The
last lesson has a formula table, a last-day checklist and a 20-question mixed test.
Lesson 1 is a free preview; the rest of the course is included in Pro membership.

## Important note

Based on the official APTET 2026 suggestive syllabus (June 2026). Always confirm
exam dates, pattern and eligibility in the official notification. This course is
