— Cinderella

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her cruel stepmother and two stepsisters, who were very mean to her. They made her do all the housework, and she had to sleep in the attic by the fireplace, covered in cinders. That’s how she got her name, Cinderella.

One day, an invitation arrived at their house. The King’s son was having a grand ball! Cinderella’s stepsisters were very excited and spent all their time getting ready. They bought beautiful gowns and practiced their dancing. Cinderella sadly watched them, wishing she could go too.

When the day of the ball arrived, Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters left without her. Cinderella was home, crying. Suddenly, a bright light appeared, and there stood her Fairy Godmother!

The Fairy Godmother smiled and said, “Don’t cry, Cinderella! You shall go to the ball!”

With a wave of her magic wand, the Fairy Godmother transformed Cinderella’s ragged clothes into a beautiful, sparkling gown. She turned a pumpkin into a magnificent carriage and mice into elegant horses. But the Fairy Godmother warned Cinderella, “You must leave the ball before midnight, for the magic will wear off!”

Cinderella, overjoyed, rode to the ball in her beautiful carriage. When she entered the ballroom, everyone was amazed by her beauty. The Prince was so enchanted that he asked her to dance. They danced all night, and Cinderella was very happy.

But as the clock began to strike midnight, Cinderella remembered her Fairy Godmother’s warning. She quickly said goodbye to the Prince and rushed out of the palace. In her hurry, she lost one of her glass slippers on the stairs.

The Prince was heartbroken that Cinderella had left so suddenly. He picked up the glass slipper and vowed to find the mysterious girl he had danced with.

The next day, the Prince went from house to house, searching for the girl whose foot fit the glass slipper. Finally, he came to Cinderella’s house. The stepsisters tried to squeeze their feet into the slipper, but it wouldn’t fit.

Then, the Prince saw Cinderella hiding in the corner. He asked her to try on the slipper. It fit perfectly! The Prince recognized Cinderella as the beautiful girl from the ball.

The Prince and Cinderella were overjoyed. They were married soon after and lived happily ever after. Cinderella, who had once been a servant, became a princess, and she was kind and forgiving to everyone, including her stepmother and stepsisters.
