Goldilocks and the Three Bears
— Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Once upon a time, deep in the woods, a family of three bears lived. There was Papa Bear, who was big and gruff; Mama Bear, who was middle-sized and gentle; and Baby Bear, who was small and sweet. They all lived together in a cozy little cottage.
One morning, the three bears made some porridge for their breakfast. But it was too hot to eat! So, they decided to go for a walk in the woods while their porridge cooled down.
While the bears were away, a little girl named Goldilocks wandered through the woods. She was a curious and sometimes naughty girl. Upon seeing the cottage, she decided to peek inside out of curiosity.
Finding the door unlocked, Goldilocks let herself in. She looked around and saw the table set with three bowls of porridge.
“Oh, how lovely!” she thought. “I’m quite hungry.”
So, she went over to the biggest bowl, Papa Bear’s bowl, and tasted the porridge. “Ouch!” she cried. “This porridge is too hot!”
Then, she tried the middle-sized bowl, Mama Bear’s bowl. “Hmm,” she said. “This porridge is too cold.”
Finally, she tasted the smallest bowl, Baby Bear’s bowl. “Ah!” she said with a smile. “This porridge is just right!” And she ate it all up, every last spoonful.
After eating the porridge, Goldilocks felt a little tired. She looked around the room and saw three chairs.
First, she sat in the biggest chair, Papa Bear’s chair. “Oh dear!” she exclaimed. “This chair is too hard!”
Then, she sat in the middle-sized chair, Mama Bear’s chair. “Hmm,” she said. “This chair is too soft!”
Finally, she sat in the smallest chair, Baby Bear’s chair. “Ah!” she sighed. “This chair is just right!” But as she wiggled around to get comfortable, the little chair broke into pieces!
Feeling even more tired, Goldilocks went into the bedroom. There she saw three beds.
First, she lay down on the biggest bed, Papa Bear’s bed. “Oh dear!” she mumbled. “This bed is too hard!”
Then, she lay down on the middle-sized bed, Mama Bear’s bed. “Hmm,” she said. “This bed is too soft!”
Finally, she lay down on the smallest bed, Baby Bear’s bed. “Ah!” she whispered. “This bed is just right!” And she snuggled down and fell fast asleep.
Soon, the three bears came home from their walk. They were surprised to see that their door was open.
“Someone’s been eating my porridge!” growled Papa Bear in his big, gruff voice.
“Someone’s been eating my porridge too!” said Mama Bear in her middle-sized, gentle voice.
“Someone’s been eating my porridge,” squeaked Baby Bear in his small, sweet voice, “and they’ve eaten it all up!”
Then, Papa Bear looked at his chair and growled, “Someone’s been sitting in my chair!”
Mama Bear looked at her chair and said, “Someone’s been sitting in my chair too!”
Baby Bear looked at his chair and squeaked, “Someone’s been sitting in my chair, and they’ve broken it all to pieces!”
The three bears then went into their bedroom.
“Someone’s been lying in my bed!” growled Papa Bear in his big, gruff voice.
“Someone’s been lying in my bed too!” said Mama Bear in her middle-sized, gentle voice.
Baby Bear looked at his bed and squeaked, “Someone’s been lying in my bed, and she’s still there!”
Just then, Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears standing around the bed. She was so frightened that she jumped out of bed, ran to the window, and leapt out! She ran as fast as her little legs could carry her, all the way back to her own home, and she never went back to the three bears’ cottage again.
And the three bears lived happily ever after in their cozy little cottage in the woods. the house as fast as she could. The three bears never saw her again.
