โ€” The Three Little Pigs

“The Three Little Pigs”! Another classic that many grandmothers love to tell.

Here’s the story:

Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who decided it was time to leave their mother and build their own houses.

The first little pig was quite lazy and didn’t want to work hard. So, he built his house out of straw. It was quick and easy.

The second little pig was a little less lazy but still didn’t want to spend too much time building. So, he built his house out of sticks. It was a bit stronger than the straw house.

The third little pig was wise and knew that he needed a strong house to protect himself from the big bad wolf. So, he worked hard and built his house out of sturdy bricks. It took him much longer, but it was very strong.

Soon enough, the big bad wolf came along. He was hungry and smelled the delicious little pigs.

He went to the first little pig’s straw house and said, “Little pig, little pig, let me come in.”

The little pig squealed, “Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!”

So the wolf huffed and he puffed, and he blew the house down! The terrified little pig ran as fast as he could to his brother’s house made of sticks.

Next, the big bad wolf went to the second little pig’s stick house and said, “Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in.”

The two little pigs squealed, “Not by the hair on our chinny chin chins!”

So the wolf huffed and he puffed, and he blew the house down! The two little pigs were very scared and ran to their brother’s strong brick house.

Finally, the big bad wolf arrived at the third little pig’s brick house. He said, “Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in.”

The three little pigs squealed together, “Not by the hair on our chinny chin chins!”

So the wolf huffed and he puffed, and he puffed and he huffed, but he could not blow the brick house down. It was too strong!

The wolf was furious but determined. He climbed onto the roof, thinking he would sneak down the chimney and catch the little pigs.

However, the clever third little pig had a big pot of boiling water in the fireplace. When the wolf came down the chimney, he fell right into the boiling water!

The three little pigs were safe and sound, and the big bad wolf was never seen again. The third little pig’s diligence saved him and his brothers from the hungry wolf.

The story teaches children the importance of hard work and planning for the future.
