Hop four steps from eight
Explore the picture together. Open each numbered card for a little help.
1Start on 8
Put your finger on eight before counting any hops.
2Make four hops right
The four hops land on 9, 10, 11 and 12.
3Land on 12
8 + 4 = 12. For subtraction of a positive amount, hop left instead.
Count carefully and explain your steps. Use objects or fingers whenever they help.
