One morning, Goldilocks walked through the forest and came upon a little house. She knocked, but no one answered. She should have waited or gone home, yet curiosity led her inside. A pot of porridge sat on the table.
Too hot, too cold
Goldilocks tasted the porridge in the biggest bowl. It was too hot. The middle bowl was too cold, and the smallest bowl was just right, so she ate it all.
A quiet nap
Goldilocks went upstairs and found three beds. The largest felt too high, the middle one too lumpy, and the smallest one just right. Soon she fell asleep.
The bears come home
The bears went upstairs and found Goldilocks in the small bed. Their voices woke her. Goldilocks was startled when she saw the three bears standing nearby.
A better choice
Goldilocks apologized, helped the bears tidy the room and promised to ask before entering a home. The bears accepted her apology but reminded her that privacy matters.
