A story to read together

The Frog Prince

Take your time. Let the story unfold.

A princess enjoyed playing with a golden ball beside a pond. One afternoon the ball slipped from her hands and sank into the water. A frog popped up and offered to help, asking only that she share a meal and a conversation with him.

Chapter one

A promise by the pond

The princess wanted her ball back and quickly promised the frog anything he asked. The frog dived down and returned the ball. Happy to have it, the princess hurried toward the palace.

Chapter two

Keeping her word

The king reminded her that a promise matters, and that she could still set kind boundaries. The princess invited the frog to sit at the garden table, where they could talk comfortably.

Chapter three

A surprising change

As they spoke, a gentle light shimmered over the pond. The frog had been under a spell that could be lifted by a sincere promise kept with kindness.

Chapter four

A friendship begins

The princess and the prince became friends. They visited the pond often, and the princess learned that a first impression does not tell a person’s whole story.
