🏆 How to Play: Place Value Pro

Goal: Correct the total sum of the hidden digits by building the expanded form.

1. Start Your Quest

Tap the “New Quest” button to generate a new secret number. The game will reset your cards and clear the workspace.

2. Reveal the Digits

Tap each of the 6 Place Value Cards (from Lakhs to Ones).

  • As you tap, the digit will be revealed.

  • The Expanded Form Tray at the top will automatically update to show the value of that digit (e.g., if you reveal a ‘5’ in the Lakhs column, it shows 500,000).

3. Listen for Clues

Need help? Tap the “🔊 Listen” button. The tool will read out the values of the highest digits to help you visualize the number.

4. Calculate the Total

Once all cards are revealed, the Total Sum input box will appear.

  • Add the values in the tray together.

  • Type your answer into the box.

5. Verify & Level Up

Tap “Verify” to check your work.

  • Correct: You’ll hear the number read in words and increase your Streak. Every 3 correct answers, you reach a new Level!

  • Incorrect: Don’t worry! Double-check your addition and try again. Your streak will reset, but you can keep trying until you get it right.

💡 Pro Tip for Tablets

Use the Expanded Form Tray as your scratchpad! It shows you exactly how much each digit is worth, making it easier to add them up in your head.

Based on the code we have built and refined, here are the key features of the Place Value Pro tool, tailored for your website description or teacher documentation:

Core Educational Features

  • Indian Numbering System Mastery: specifically designed to teach the concept of Lakhs, Ten Thousands, Thousands, Hundreds, Tens, and Ones, bridging the gap between digit placement and value.

  • Dynamic Expanded Form: As students reveal cards, the “Math Tray” automatically builds the expanded equation (e.g., 300,000 + 40,000 + ...), reinforcing the link between a digit and its actual value.

  • Number-to-Word Conversion: Upon a correct answer, the tool instantly translates the numerical sum into words (e.g., “Three Lakh Forty-Two Thousand…”), helping students connect symbols to literacy.

  • Audio Reinforcement: Integrated Text-to-Speech reads the final number aloud, supporting auditory learners and aiding in pronunciation.

🎮 Engagement & Gamification

  • “Mystery Card” Mechanic: Uses a “hide-and-reveal” logic where students must click cards to see digits, keeping them active and focused rather than passively reading.

  • Streak & Leveling System: Tracks correct answers in a row (“Streak”) and automatically increases the “Level” difficulty rating visually to encourage repeated play.

  • Instant Feedback Loop: Provides immediate visual cues (Green/Red) and encouraging messages so students can self-correct without needing teacher intervention.

⚡ Design & Technical Specs

  • Tablet-First Architecture: Built with a 16:9 aspect ratio and large touch targets, specifically optimized for classroom tablets and touchscreens.

  • Distraction-Free “No-Ads Zone”: Explicitly marked as a safe zone with a dedicated badge, ensuring a focused learning environment free from external clutter.

  • Lightweight & Speed Load: Contains zero external libraries or heavy assets, ensuring the tool loads instantly even on slower classroom networks.

  • Dark Mode UI: Uses a high-contrast dark theme (Slate/Indigo) to reduce eye strain during extended practice sessions.
